The young Cuban pianist, Lisa María Blanco, and the famous Italian pianist Fiorenza Bucciarelli, will offer a concert the day 21stat 8 pm, in the Cuban Art Factory in Havana.
Lisa Maria explained to Radio Cadena Habana that ‘’these several works of the renowned contemporary Italian repertoire, very interesting to know music from other countries and to exchange and share the stage with prominent pianists".
The famous Italian artist will visit Cuba for the celebrations of the half millennium of Havana and she will offer concerts in tribute to this territory, also a World Heritage Site.
Lisa María composed thecontredanse entitled “Habana para ti”, devotedto the 500th anniversary of the city. She recently performed at the Cuban Art Factory at the end of the concert entitled A Journey in Time in which Cuban music was delighted from the nineteenth century to the present day.
At the moment,she participates in the XXXII Festival of Contemporary Music in Havana and she declared toCadena Habana, the radio station of Cuban Music, that this occasion she had the joy of performing several works. The first concert was in October at Sala Villena of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) where shepresented the work "Landscape" by the Cuban composer Jorge Amado, for viola and piano. Moreover, there was also the work "Coral" by the Russian I. Konius and two Habaneras by the Cuban composer Magaly Ruíz.
At Casa del Alba Cultural, one of the locations of the musical event, Lisa placedthe public for the first time together with the violist Anolán González, a work by the English composer Lester Hough entitled “Seven miniatures for viola and piano ”, based on themes and reasons of the eminent work ‘’Rhapsody in blue’’ by the American composer George Gershwin.
The XXXII Festival of Contemporary Music in Havana, which lasts until next Sunday, has also the following spaces: Ignacio Cervantes Hall, San Felipe Neri Oratory, Marquis de Arcos Palace, the House of the Americas (Casa de las Américas), the University of Arts (ISA), the Conservatory Amadeo Roldán, the Cuban Art Factory, among others.
