The Cuban trova in its wide spectrum evokes sounds that bring distances, times and musical genres, with intelligent titles and nothing populist.
This is how Vetto Alejandro and his group will perform this Saturday 10th, at 6 pm, in Casa del Alba Cultural, located on Line Street between C and D in Havana, Vedado.
The young group will give a concert with part of its growing repertoire with themes by its director Vetto Alejandro, included in his phonograms ‘’Para cuando salga el sol’’ and ‘’Soñar a un trovador’’
Belonging to Adolfo Guzmán Company, the small format group, will cover the work of this versatile creator and arranger who calls to tune the ear, enjoy melodic pieces and taste different rhythms that go from son to rock, from trova to jazz, from guaracha to country.
With pure Cuban flavor, Vetto Alejandro composes guitar in hand, but he also borrows the cuatro boricua to say his own texts, conceived long before his memorable participation with the Trovabana group, as a solo on stages in Spain, with the Antivirus group that accompanied Virulo for some years and even as a member of the Cabildo del Son of the master Pancho Amat.
The proposal that he now directs is made up of new university graduates and artistic teaching musicians who perform bass, minor percussion, saxophone, tres and clarinet.
Vetto Alejandro and his group, members of the Hermanos Saiz Association, have been part of shows in different Havana facilities such as Pabellón Cuba, as well as performing in several National Television programs, including Al Mediodía.
He also participated in the Cuerda Vva television space, as well as in his National Festival this year, where he was a finalist in two categories and he is the protagonist of some clubs in several capital municipalities.
