Songs to Fidel is the celebration for his 93rd birthday in the Guanabacoa Municipality, this Monday, amateur and professional artists gathered at La Cotorra Park to celebrate his anniversary and the International Youth Day.
Songs, poems, oral narratives, dances and plastic arts multiplied from early hours in the morning until nightfall to remind the eternally rebellious boy who taught us to think as a country and who will live forever in the hearts of grateful people.
Today, Tuesday 13, when the calendar indicates the date in which our Commander in Chief was born more than nine decades ago, the old municipality will continue the celebration with activities in different places such as Gelasio Hernández Elementary School in Consejo Popular Jata-Naranjo, where the summer activities are taking place to facilitate the care for the children of working mothers.
At the same time, there will be other moments of remembrance and joy at Consejo Popular Habana Nueva in Carmelo Noa Elementary School, which has been recovered after the tornado that stroke parts of Havana last January.
Under the leadership of Alicia Marta and Ruandi Góngora, theater instructors of the Culture House of this territory, several artistic units will perform shows for the whole community with the performance of vocalist children Kelen Ollanta and Reikol Cárdenas, the trio of Sweet Dreams dances, the quintet Danzarte and the clown Yoan.
On the other hand, specialists from the sports management and other natural promoters and instructors of the Casa de Cultura and the José Martí brigade will encourage the activity with children and young people with the paintings of faces and various didactic games.
