Date: 2019-07-16 18:10:03

For several days the Christ of Havana is an accomplice of the Cuban music that coincides with the summer, entertains the Day 34th of Culture in the town of Casablanca, where the colossal statue of the sculptor Jilma Madera stands.

Up to the steep hill, separated from the city by its Bay, the rap of the renowned duo Obsession came to the local park to break the usual quiet of a small community but rich in its history.

With its portentous repertoire of themes that highlight the contributions of the African heritage to the identity of our Island, the group formed by Magia López and Alexey Rodríguez, known as "El Tipo Este", sang to the neighborhood, as they do for more than two decades.

For the fans, the duo Obsession is a symbol of tenacity and ingenuity, admired inside and outside the borders for its authentic way of doing chronicles of the everyday situations, with a popular tone and language but respecting the public.

Through the unique staircases of the tiny Casablanca, the Creole flavor of Oderquis Revé orchestra and her changüí, a rhythm declared to be the intangible heritage of our nation, rose the first night.

The themes of the last album of the emblematic group animated a dance during the traditional celebration that recalls the Hispanic and Catholic origins, as well as the evolution of that place in Havana, belonging to Regla municipality.

Carrier of a unique style, Oderquis Revé and her changüí interpreted compositions of her next production entitled ‘’The sardine eats the shark’’, which they promote in their current tour in the neighborhoods for the 500 anniversary of the capital.

During these days other actions are carried out, where music and all arts converge with the presence of Caribe Girls, Mi son, Rayco Alcalá, Carlos Carlos, María Cristina Puente, Los guaracheritos de Regla, the Blue Rock Duo, as well as Alex de Lara. Other guests are the Theater Group Tropa Trapo and Obab, while the Movement of Amateur Artists of the territory shows off their talent in each space for the 34th Conference of Culture of Casablanca.
