
The celebrations for the 500th anniversary of Havana in La Lisa will have the pleasant presence of the singer David Blanco, who will participate in several events during the month of November.
Mr. Blanco, who lived during his childhood in the neighborhood ‘’La Coronela’’, visited the Polytechnic Institute Olo Pantoja on November 6th. In addition to the music he performed there, the singer talked with the students about current topicsof interest for young people and teenagers in the capital.It was an opportunity to warnthem about the risks of AIDS, taking as a starting point "Lie to Me", a song he wrote for the Campaign ofprevention in 2005 by the National Center for Sexual Education. He emphasizes that the true success is not in giving love or pleasure, but in protecting each other.
Children and teachers of the Elementary SchoolRepublic of Peru, where the controversial musician studied, will also receive his visit on November 14th to develop a cultural exchange programme with the Arts Instructors of the BrigadeJosé Martí.
Mr. Blanco announces also a concert at La Ceiba, in 212 and 67, Balcón Arimao, on November 23rd, one of the oldest traditions of Havana.
