The Orchestra Camerata Romeu released recently its first video clip dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the foundation of Havana and Eusebio Leal, Historian of the City.
Entitled ‘’La Bella Habana’’ and made by Alejandro Reyes, it is a clip made from a miscellany of the best works of the orchestra, composed entirely by female musicians and considered as unique for its repertoire and stage performances.
This group was founded in Havana in 1993 by its director Zenaida Romeu, under the auspices of the Foundation Pablo Milanés.
Its artistic budget is based on the recognition and promotion of the values of the musical production of Cuban and Latin American composers, who, expressed through the string orchestra, have created for this Central European ensemble, an absolutely new sound born in the Americas, expresses a note published on the official website of the classical music orchestra.
This clip is a beautiful gift to the memorable historian Eusebio Leal Spengler, who has struggled so much to resume the splendor of Havana, which is now 500 years old.
