Havana, Cuba. - Laura Pausini is still news, after her debut before Cuban people who welcomed her with great affection. She reciprocated that warmth when she "stepped on stage thanking Cuba with a heart full of emotion", according to the report of Cuban newspaper “Juventud Rebelde.”
The hit “Nadie ha dicho” had to be one of the themes she sang to Havana public, featuring “Gente de Zona.” On this subject, a review recently published in the United States said "So far, it is the best slow reggaeton of 2018"; as a result of the unexpected combination of Laura Pausini with Cubans “Gente de Zona."
It is a cross-reference to journalist Alicia Civita’s review on the song "Nadie ha dicho", which is part of Pausini’s latest album “Hazte sentir.” The latter is the 13th studio album in the career of the girl from Faenza, province of Ravenna, Italy. This track is "one of the most danceable of her musical career, which began at the age of 13."
Some fans of the Italian singer are afraid to lose the romantic balladeer, in view of the strength of reggaeton in the preferences of US record companies. The singer, however, stressed that she would not lose her essence because of singing a few urban themes; and pointed out that she should not be regarded as just another one that joined the fashionable genre.
In addition, she remarked that when listening to the song "people will realize that Pausini is still Pausini; because I sound just like when I sing ballads. I did not take on a reggaeton character".
In an interview published by several media, the most important exponent of Italian music in the Hispanic world said she wrote the song as a ballad and told the tale of how the original creation was modified. "I wrote it as a ballad," she reiterated, "but the remix with “Gente de Zona” provided an element that had never touched me: a duet in which the voices reply to one another."
She stressed that for the first time in her artistic career one of her songs did not sound like she originally conceived it. "Something like this had never happened to me and the first time I heard it, I said: 'What is this? You changed some fragments of the music and the lyrics as well?”
She said that "those who heard it with me said that it sounded like a tribute; a very nice gesture on their part. Today, I see it as a very special thing about something of mine and they conquered me.”
“Nadie ha dicho" is a song that, according to sources close to the artist, "stresses the need to communicate; to free the heart and allow life to surprise us. Sometimes, when situations evolve, things change and everyone is faced with unavoidable choices.”
The aforementioned theme scored over two million views in the first three days after it was launched on digital platforms, according to information published on cuballama.com. To this day, the song has surpassed 25 million views on YouTube.
